Cave Dale climbs out of the popular tourist village of Castleton, passing Peveril Castle and continues on to Winnats Pass Farm. There is a small stream running along the valley bottom, although most of its waters run in underground caves. The dale is very close to the magnificent Blue John and Speedwell Caverns.
