North of Litton Mill, along the River Wye from Monsal Dale, is Cressbrook Dale. \It is known for its many crags, disused lead mines and woodland nature reserve. In spring Cressbrook Dale abounds with the blooms of many rare species of wild flowers. Peter's Stone is a prominent limestone crag, posing a distinct feature of the upper reaches of Cressbrook Dale.
